Bis-Tris Buffered Gels

The main difference between bis-tris gels and standard gels is that bis-tris gels use an acidic resolving gel that does not contain SDS. Sodium bisulfite is included in the running buffer for bis-tris gels to prevent disulfide bond formation during stacking.
