Ponceau Red Staining Solution Recipe

Ponceau S can be used to stain blotted membranes for visualization of proteins.

Ponceau staining solution is usually composed as follows:

• 0.1% Ponceau S
• 5% Acetic Acid

Recipe for 500 ml of Ponceau Red Staining Solution:

• 0.5 g Ponceau S
• 25 ml Acetic Acid
• 475 ml water
